EIT Digital, as part of the EDIH Madrid Region, is thrilled to offer the course Data Science for Business Innovation for all professionals in the Madrid region who need to structure a data-centric project. This is a great opportunity for all Innovation professionals, managers, CEOs and CIOs of innovative companies in the Madrid region.

Data Science for Business Innovation looks at the tools to make the most of BigData, how to achieve business goals and create value, and how different lines of business and staff need to communicate effectively with technical data analytics teams in a business environment. This edition of the course has a particular focus on the mobility industry but is open to professionals from all sectors.

What you will gain

The core of the course will be learning how to manage data-centric projects to support business strategies and innovation projects using an innovative tool, the Goal Poster. Participants will explore how the entire data value chain management is used, from data collection to machine learning techniques and data visualisation, to implement the right actions and data-driven decisions.

The Data Science for Business course focuses on the mobility sector through hands-on case studies. Biography

Marco Brambilla is a Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Marco Brambilla is a full Professor at Politecnico di Milano. He is active in research and innovation, both at the industrial and academic level, on data-driven innovation. His research interests include data science, data modeling and AI, crowdsourcing, social media monitoring, and big data analysis. He has been a visiting Researcher at CISCO, San Josè, and UCSD, and a visiting Professor at Dauphine University, Paris. 

He is co-founder of three startups and co-authored over 300 articles and books. He was awarded various best paper prizes and gave keynotes and speeches at many conferences and organisations. He leads several research projects on data science and big data and he is the main author of the OMG standard IFML.
